Kristin Jones worked for McKinney Insurance for 13 years before purchasing the agency from her boss. In an inspiring story, she talked her way into a CSR job in 2008, completely green in insurance. Kristin quickly proved to be a hard worker and the top salesperson among her peers. She became an office manager five years later and finally purchased the agency from Lane McKinney, her boss, in February 2021. It was the best of both worlds for both of them.
Kristin is thrilled to be a new owner and keeps the name “McKinney Insurance” out of homage to her favorite boss. Because she is so familiar with the agency's operations, the ownership transition has been seamless, and she will continue providing the same excellent service the agency has always delivered. She and her husband live in Clear Lake. She enjoys being active in her church, playing the guitar, fitness, and cooking.

I want to give the best possible client experience to the customer because we really do care for them and want to help them with whatever is in their best interests in the insurance realm. Tabitha Morel has been a McKinney Insurance Agency team member since April 2021 and has quickly proven her trustworthiness. She had prior experience in office management and was promoted to McKinney’s office manager position in 2023. Tabitha’s primary focus is being Kristin’s right hand, assisting with her many clients and service work. Tabitha enjoys music, being with her family, and the great outdoors. She also recently gave birth to a healthy baby boy. She is looking forward to helping everyone with their needs and giving big.

Austin is a Sales Specialist on the McKinney team. His specialties include Auto Insurance, Life Insurance, Home Insurance, Condo Insurance, Renters Insurance, Flood Insurance, Windstorm Insurance, Motorcycle Insurance, Boat Insurance, RV Insurance, and Umbrella Insurance.

Austin spends his free time with his wife, Krysta, and two daughters, Leah and Meredith. He also enjoys hunting, fishing, movies, and playing video games.

Kassandra Hinojosa has been a part of our staff since November 2017. She is first in line to answer the phones and handle whatever service needs she can. She also supports anyone in the office who gets overloaded. She lives in Alvin and recently had a new baby boy. Kassandra loves dogs and spending time with her family.

Larry is the newest member of the McKinney Insurance crew, starting in January of 2024. After he retired as Postmaster from the Seabrook post office, he decided to make insurance the last stop in his working career. His calm, friendly, and positive attitude have provided great energy for the office!! Because of how friendly and likeable he is, talking to clients is where he really shines. Larry is married with two adult sons, and he loves good barbecue and hunting.

Christian (Ceejay) Tinay-Tinay has been a member of the McKinney team since 03/13/2023. He quickly showed how organized and detail-oriented he is, and for that reason, Kristin has him distributing database work for the office and staying on top of payment for all the Texas Windstorm policies. He also helps the team with their tasks when they get overloaded. Ceejay is a government official for his town and enjoys serving with the youth, playing volleyball, and working on his physical fitness!! He is also an enthusiastic dog lover.
