The Origin of McKinney Insurance 

On March 21st, 2005, McKinney Insurance became a branch office of The Woodlands Financial Group (TWFG). We have been a local, growing business ever since. Lane McKinney, the branch’s owner, already had many years of experience as an insurance sales and service rep. His father, Dick McKinney, was one of the most successful State Farm agents in the Houston/Clear Lake area when he retired, and Lane grew up in the insurance business. As an adult, Lane worked for Allstate for several years before deciding to become a broker. 

Lane's idea was to work more on the customer's behalf, finding the best deals rather than being married to one specific company. He started his branch of TWFG from nothing and began building his clientele based on his trustworthiness, straightforwardness, competence, and experience in the insurance industry. Word got out, and now McKinney Insurance is proud to be in the President's Club of TWFG.   

All agents are licensed by the State of Texas.
